If you are looking for a traditional Neapolitan “pizzeria” in Milan with quality products at a bargain price, where to spend a pleasant evening with friends or family, we recommend Pizza Am. Pizza Am offers a lively and fresh ambience, together with the taste and tradition of Neapolitan pizza.
Founded by the world-renowned Italian champion of pizza, Pasquale Pometto, this pizzeria is strategically placed in corso di Porta Romana, only moments from Crocetta subway stop. On the menu of Pizza Am you will exclusively find carefully selected, tasty and home-made pizzas, all at a really cheap price: a dream coming true for pizza-lovers!
In addition, Pizza Am staff is famous for paying much attention to customers: as soon as we enter the restaurant, a nice guy hurries along to greet us and shows the way to our table. Whilst we wait for our pizzas to be served, we enjoy a glass of Prosecco and some tantalizing pizza slices. That’s the “Pometto Pasquale”, a delicacy filled with fior di latte (a type of mozzarella cheese), cherry tomatoes, smoked scamorza cheese, arugula, parmesan and olive oil on top. So irresistible!
Pizza Am does only not mean traditional recipes … have a look at the interiors: original, very cozy, full of those ornaments you could find in any local pizzeria nestled in a Southern Italy village, including the customary photo of the football player Maradona on the wall together with the paintings created by Mr. Pometto himself, and Latin-American music softly playing on the background.
Don’t forget to try the ‘Napulitana’: a pizza filled with authentic San Marzano peeled tomatoes, fresh basil, fior di latte mozzarella, Mediterranean oak-matured anchovies from Sicily, Sicilian capers, wild oregano from Calabria and Tuscany extra virgin olive oil.
Have we made your mouth water, haven’t we?
