We all have those friendships that started at a time when, if it happened to fall asleep on the couch, we woke up magically the day after on the bed. Unluckily, we inevitably lose track with some of these childhood friends. That’s not the case of brothers Guido and Carlo who, together with their friends Andrea and Lorenzo, stayed closed and decided to turn their passion for wine into their job.

Guido, enologist, explains to us how in the last 20-30 years Milan has completely lost the tradition and the love for cask wine. With the opening of the Bottega del Vinaiolo, the four friends wish to resurrect this lost passion. The shop is small, the walls are covered with bottles and barrels and once you enter you are immediately overwhelmed by an extremely strong and extremely pleasant smell of wine. “Wines are not static” Guido explains to us “but change accordingly to the season”. Not to let loyal customers down, the friends have affixed a small blackboard where everyone can pin those wines that cannot be missed in any time of the year. Next to the door, there’s also the cheap sector where you will find some amazing bottles for just 5€.There is nothing left to say other than… cheers!
